Wolves launch audio description commentary
By Published On: November 23, 2020 - Categories: Announcements Live Streaming OTT Sports
Wolves will offer visually impaired supporters the chance to listen to a dedicated audio description commentary feed for the home visit of Southampton.
Delivered by Alan March Sport on the StreamAMG Wolves TV platform, commentary involves a specially trained describer explaining all the in-play action as it happens, ensuring listeners get to experience as much of the excitement of a live game as possible.
Previously available in-stadia and online via Zoom, this is the first time the commentary will be available via a Wolves digital platform as part of the club’s commitment to equality.
Laura Wright, Wolves disability access officer, said: “We are proud to enhance our inclusion at Wolves by offering audio description commentary to partially sighted supporters, significantly improving their experience of matchday from the comfort of their own home.”
All future first-team fixtures will also be broadcast, with the feed available via the app in early December.
Coverage begins around ten minutes before kick-off and available via Wolves TV here.
