Today, we’re excited to introduce Katie-May Angel, our Senior Customer Success Manager. Through this Q&A, get a glimpse into her day-to-day, professional highlights, and what excites her most about the future of streaming.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Customer Success Manager

What is the day-to-day of your role like?

It's full of engaging with clients and stakeholders across the business! From providing project updates, speaking with different client integrators to liaising with internal teams to ensure our workflows are optimised, my role keeps me busy. I also oversee the various value streams of the business – monetisation, video, and content discovery – ensuring clients’ content reaches its full potential.

Professional Highlights

What has been your favourite project at StreamAMG?

Working on Tennis TV projects! They have an innovative and forward-thinking team who, in my opinion, are leading the way in the industry. I'm grateful to work with a client at the forefront of innovation.

How did you get started in this industry?

With a background in project management, I was looking for a new challenge and transitioned to a completely new industry where I could use my transferable skills. The sports industry has always excited me, and I was drawn to working with large clients. Plus, my interest in media, supported by my degree in cultural studies and media, played a role.

Describe StreamAMG in three words.

Innovative, collaborative, supportive.

What’s your favourite part of working at StreamAMG?

The people! Speaking with experts who come up with brilliant ideas – certainly ideas I didn’t think were even possible. There's also a run club, where we have weekly competitions around Media City to see who can run the fastest – a friendly competition I claim to win every time (though I suspect a certain colleague may disagree!)

If you could switch jobs with anyone at StreamAMG for a day, who would it be and why?

Our Managing Director – I’m ambitious! I’d love to see things from their perspective, how they drive change, and motivate the team.

Behind-the-Scenes

What’s your favourite sport, and how did you become a fan?

I'm really into triathlons. After injuring my knee in the Chester half-marathon, I wanted to try a sport that didn't rely solely on running. Since then, I've completed two triathlons, coming first in my age category at my first event. I think I’m onto something!

If you could have dinner with any athlete, past or present, who would it be?

Russ Cook – his determination and attitude during his run across Africa was inspiring. Watching him overcome such challenges was incredible.

If you could stream one sporting event live from anywhere in the world, which would it be and why?

Triathlon – I'm a huge fan! The T100 series would be my pick.

Which sports moment gives you goosebumps every time you see it?

The moment when the Brownlee brothers showed the power of family, with one brother nearly collapsing and the other carrying him and pushing him over the line in the Triathlon World Series in Mexico. It was so incredible to watch – so moving!

Looking Ahead

What excites you most about the future of streaming?

The potential of AI in streaming is fascinating – I’m eager to see what automation can achieve in this space!
